Dark harmonies
Of wood and metal
Each window sings In a slightly
Different key
Each board whistles
And springs
And bends
As the torrent
Spins around me
I step outside
A hearth opens
Above me
Baking and basking
My basket is
Suddenly full
With love
My sight clears
Of ice
My heart grows
I still hear
The wind
The darkness still stands
I know another,
Adjacent space
At the end I hear it
That solid, unified
Cry
A plea to finish
A call to agreement
A bookmark in
My thoughts
